The 5Q86 13:44 Long Marston to Eastleigh ECS passes Whitehill (between Finstock and Combe) on 17 October 2025 with Mk5a driving trailer 12806 leading and 68031 providing power at the rear. The former TransPennine stock is destined for a new career with Chiltern Railways. There was nothing else to photograph while I was waiting for this, as in true GWR tradition, both up and down passenger trains just before this were cancelled. On this day GWR excelled themselves, as a staggering 39% of the booked trains were cancelled.
