An unusual working traversed the Cotswold Line on 23 December 2025, when 150231 worked the 5Q15 08:58 Derby Litchurch Lane to Alton, becoming the first Class 150 to enter preservation. The unit is pictured passing Cornbury Park in abysmal light, heading for its new life on the Mid Hants Railway. The start of the double track section at the southern end of Charlbury station can just be seen in the background.
