Metro Cammell's unusual looking Class 151 DMUs were not a success, with only two prototypes built. 151001 passes Wetmore on 18 October 1987 with a Burton upon Trent to Derby test run. It is passing the shell of Wetmore Sidings Signal Box, which was demolished soon afterwards. Also gone are the footbridge, and adjacent disused former North Staffordshire Railway bridge in the background, to be replaced by a new roadbridge.
