A stranger at Didcot North Junction on 30 August 2023. 165017 prepares to take the west curve to access the Great Western Mainline, as it works the 5C65 08:55 Banbury Depot to Bristol Barton Hill ECS. This location sees a regular shuttle service of two coach Class 165s, operating between Oxford and Didcot Parkway, but they are all drab green GWR ones, so this Chiltern Railways unit was well worth photographing. It was travelling to Bristol for planned maintenance work.
