Still wearing Central Trains livery, but now operated by CrossCountry, 170639 passes Severn Tunnel Junction on 20 September 2008 with the 1M60 09:45 Cardiff Central to Nottingham service. This was always a pleasant spot to spend a few hours, on the virtually traffic free road bridge to nowhere. The replacement high sided bridge and the electfrication of the route means it is no longer a spot worth visiting!
