20228 & 20137 look superb in the late afternoon light, as they pass Laverton on 25 July 2025 with the 2W17 17:18 Broadway to Toddington service, during the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's Diesel Gala. Although the highest TOPS numbered Class 20, 20228 was not the last loco to enter service. It was in fact the first of the second batch of locos that were ordered after the failure of the Class 17 Clayton centre cab locos. It entered traffic in January 1966 as D8128.
