Class 422 4-BIG 2102 arrives at Balcombe with the 11:33 Victoria to Brighton service on 2 May 1987. This is of course completely the wrong time of day to be taking a picture here, with the sun virtually straight down the track. However, I have included it for its historical interest, and because it is one of the very few pictures I have of a Class 422 unit, which were much less numerous than the ubiquitous Class 421 4-CIGs.
