A classic Great Western Railway scene recreated at Hayles Abbey Halt on 11 April 2026, as GWR railcar 22 arrives at the wayside stopping place with the 09:50 service from Toddington. The 1940 built railcar was visiting the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway from the Didcot Railway Centre. Of the 35 railcars built by the GWR between 1934 and 1942, three survive in preservation.
