The first northbound train of the day on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway on 18 April 2026 was the 09:40 Cheltenham Racecourse to Toddington non-stop service, worked by visiting GWR railcar 22. It is pictured a few hundred yards into its journey, passing Southam in some very lucky sunshine. The clouds were building up rapidly, so I decided to head for home, as I had probably used up all my good luck with two sunny shots of this vintage railcar.
