31163 & 31159 pass underneath the A558 near Daresbury on 28 July 1992 with a southbound departmental working. This view is no longer possible, as the line is now completely surrounded by tall trees. 31163 escaped the cutter's torch, and is now in preservation. 31159 wasn't so lucky, being cut up at MC Metals, Glasgow, in 1996.
