37174 passes Marshfield on 4 November 1989 towing Class 121 sandite unit TDB977486. With hindsight I should have taken some photos of coal trains on the various valley lines in the area, rather than returning to this spot every time I went to South Wales. However, the quantity and variety of traffic in the 1980s made it irresistible.
