At a time when various colourful liveries were beginning to appear on the national network, two very plain liveried locos pass the site of Knighton Crossing on 26 May 1989 with the late running 6B27 16:48 Theale to Robeston Murco oil tanks. 37220 (with extra large number on the front end) retains the classic BR blue colour scheme, whilst 37248 is in Trainload grey, but devoid if any sector decals. The train is just passing over the underbridge that replaces the former level crossing.
