37240 & GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 7029 Clun Castle approach Heyford on 1 November 2025 with the Vintage Trains 1Z35 07:56 Birmingham New Street to Paddington 'Farewell to Steam' railtour. The steam loco would then go on to work the 1Z36 14:40 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads section of the tour, although unfortunately mostly in darkness. I selected this location as the fallen tree makes an excellent foreground, and the bright yellow autumn foliage adds to the background. The only problem was trying to guess if there was a big enough gap for both locomotives. Luckily there was - just!
