37278 passes through Heyford station on 25 August 1987 with the 6V14 18:02 Washwood Heath to Didcot Speedlink coal. This was running 50 minutes early, which was very fortunate, as the lengthening evening shadows were already causing problems. A few years earlier the shadows would have been even worse, caused by the station building. The footings of the recently demolished building can be seen on the left.
