After photographing 37401 The Royal Scotsman & 37109 with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z21 16:15 Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness 'Lord of the Isles' railtour on 10 April 2004 at Attadale, I unfortunately arrived at Strathcarron at the same time as the tour, and had to wait at the level crossing while the extra long train blocked the road, whilst waiting for the electronic token. Despite this, I soon got ahead of the tour, and managed this shot from a convenient roadside pile of chippings at Balnacra. The only other person in the vicinity was a local farmer who took a break from repairing a vintage Ferguson tractor, to watch the tour go past!
