Running 18 minutes early, 37512 Thornaby Demon rounds the curve at Islip on 14 May 2026 with the 5Q87 10:30 Bicester MoD to Wimbledon Park Depot Sidings, conveying South Western Railway EMUs 701527 & 701521. This was the fourth attempt to move a pair of units out of Bicester, with the previous three trains having been cancelled, forcing 37512 to have a week's holiday in the unfamiliar surrounds of Bicester Army Camp! With these moves being so unreliable, I wasn't really expecting this to run, but as the train was manually allocated, I thought I would risk it. It was definitely worth going, and the brief burst of sunshine was a bonus!
