37698 & 37712 approach Lostock Junction on 12 April 2003 with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z37 06:12 Reading to Knowsley Freight Terminal 'Wizard Express' railtour. The train is running alongside Middle Brook, a tributary of the River Irwell. The Grade II listed Croal Mill can be seen in the background. This impressive building was built in 1908 for the Croal Spinning Company. Although it closed in 1967, it escarped demolition, and is now used as a mail order warehouse.
