Still showing its original set number 253005, 43010 speeds through Patchway station on 17 December 1983 with the 10:30 Swansea to Paddington service. This train called at all stations between Swansea and Cardiff, before running non-stop to Paddington, one of only three up limited stop services on the route at the time.
