A wave from the driver of the 1P19 08:30 Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour South Western Railway service, as it passes Chalton in perfect spring sunshine on 2 April 2025. The 12 coach train consists of 450085, 450097 & 450109. With the exception of the distinctive tree on the getting a little larger, there seems to be remarkably little change in this view in last few decades. Note the classic Southern Railway concrete footbridge in the background.
