47510 Banbury 24 April 1984

47510 Fair Rosamund heads north from Banbury on 24 April 1984 with the 1S61 06:45 Paddington to Glasgow Central service. It is passing the construction works for the new Banbury bypass (later named Hennef Way). The town of Banbury can be seen in the background. Although the town has expanded enormously since this picture was taken, the fields directly behind the train haven't been built on, as they now form Spiceball Country Park.
