47536 passes Denchworth on 5 December 1981 with the 1A01 08:05 Worcester Shrub Hill to Paddington service. This picture is taken from Circourt Bridge, and clearly shows one of the two trackside ponds that were a feature of this location until the late 1980s, when they were both filled in. The ponds were created by digging out material for the approach roads to the bridge, when it was built to replace the former level crossing, during the Edwardian period.
