The Black-headed Gull makes a rapid exit, as 47543 passes Hinksey Yard on 28 July 1983 with the 1M23 14:40 Poole to Liverpool Lime Street service. The two principal differences in this location now, are the jungle of trees that now occupy the grassy area between the tracks in the background, and the fact that unlike in 1983, the yard is actually intensively used.
