47595 Confederation of British Industry passes Leominster on 31 January 1989 with the 1V09 10:00 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central service. The four coach train was deputising for an unavailable DMU. Note the unusual variation of the InterCity livery, with the bodyside black only extending to the edges of the windscreens. In the 1980s there was a clear view all the way back to the Mill Street level crossing in the background. I doubt if it's like that now!
