47658 passes Souldern on 11 September 1988 with the 1V95 14:40 Wolverhampton to Paddington service. In the 1980s, before BR stopped controlling lineside vegetation, there was a clear view across the countryside from this farm occupation bridge. Souldern No.1 Viaduct is clearly visible on the right, and just discernible behind the viaduct (at least on the hi-res version of this Kodachrome slide scan) is Aynho church, along with the adjacent large 17th century manor house, Aynho Park.
