50033 & D400 Rogerstone 4 April 1992

50033 Glorious & D400 bring up the rear of the Pathfinder Tours 1Z16 17:10 Ebbw Vale to Manchester Piccadilly 'Hoovering Druid' railtour at Rogerstone on 4 April 1992. 37212 is at the front of the train. This is the site of the original Rogerstone station, as indicated by the one surviving building directly behind the locos. The station closed in 1962, but in 2008 a new station opened approximately half a mile to the north. The area of wasteland in the background of this view was once occupied by Rogerstone Sidings, an extensive area of tracks for the marshalling of coal trains.
