55012 (TS062) and an unidentified Class 116 unit pass Bishopton on 8 June 1985 with the 12:10 Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford-upon-Avon (via Henley-in-Arden) service. This location has changed beyond all recognition since this picture was taken. Stratford Parkway station now occupies the site, but in 1985 this was still just a rural spot on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon. Even the A46 Stratford bypass, which now crosses the line in the back of this view, had yet to be built. In addition to the new station, the area behind where I was stood was fields in 1985, and four decades later is now covered in houses.
