56078 passes Hinksey Yard on 6 May 1988 with the 6M55 16:55 Didcot Power Station to Three Spires Junction MGR empties. The loco sports a couple of unusual livery variations: a white roof, which is hardly very practical for a diesel loco employed on freight duties, and large numbers on the front end. This is the only time that I saw this loco in this condition, as it received Trainload Construction livery the following year.
