After only two years away from the national rail network, the Class 56 renaissance has begun. Private operator Fastline has reinstated three machines, with possibly more to follow. Initially they will operate a Doncaster to Thamesport freight service. On 17 April 2006, 56302 (the former 56124) passes Old Denaby with a Doncaster Belmont Yard to Barrow Hill test train.
