Third time lucky! After being cancelled twice earlier in the week, the 5Q70 14:42 Long Marston to Wimbledon Park Depot Sidings finally ran on 5 March 2026, with 57303 hauling South Western Railways EMU 701045. I wasn't in a position to photograph it in the Worcester area, but after wasting petrol attempting to photograph in on the two previous attempts, I wasn't going to miss it a third time. Once I had noted that the loco had successfully run round the train at Worcester, I ventured out to Compton Beauchamp for this record shot. Luckily it was running a few minutes early, which made all the difference in the gathering darkness.
