60073 Leven Viaduct 25 April 1992

60073 Cairn Gorm approaches Leven Viaduct on 25 April 1992 with a Workington to Padiham Power Station coal train. This flow only lasted a short while (Padiham closed the following year), and it was notable for its use of ex ARC wagons. The sand on the left is Plumpton Bight, forming part of the estuary of the River Leven. The signal in the background is by the site of Leven Junction, where the Lakeside branch (closed in 1967) diverged to the right.
