King Class 4-6-0 6024 King Edward I approaches Heyford on 19 May 1990 with an InterCity Didcot to Stratford-upon-Avon VIP Special. The combination of GWR green loco and immaculate white roofed InterCity Mk1s is a bit odd, but certainly looks impressive. It's hard to believe now that this location was once so open. A fully grown lineside forest now hides the view of Rousham church in the background.
