800022 passes Upper Moor on 4 March 2026 with the 1W27 13:50 Paddington to Great Malvern GWR service. I had gone here to photograph the 5Q70 15:42 Long Marston to Wimbledon Park Depot Sidings Class 701 EMU stock move. However, for the second time in a week the train was cancelled, despite the loco (in this case 57303) having coupled up to the train, after coming down light engine especially for this from Leicester. The Class 701s may be electric, but they have used a lot of diesel being dragged backwards and forwards to Long Marston and Bicester, especially as it involves lots of needless light engine workings.
