86419 runs alongside the M1 motorway near Watford Gap on 17 March 1989 with the 15:20 Euston to Carlisle relief. 86419 entered traffic (as E3120) in July 1965. It received the TOPS number 86019 in September 1973, and was then renumbered 86319 in April 1981. It received its final number in March 1986. It was stored unserviceable in March 1999, officially withdrawn in October 2002, and then cut up by Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers Ltd in March 2003.
