D100 Sherwood Forester heads south from Darley Dale in the last of the weak autumnal sunshine on 17 October 1992, during Peak Rail's inaugural Diesel Gala. D100 entered service in May 1961, and was named Sherwood Forester at Derby Midland station four months later. It received the TOPS number 45060 in 1975, and was withdrawn in1985. It moved to Peak Rail two years later, after a period of store at Toton.
