D1015 Western Champion passes Kennington on 23 May 2026 with the Vintage Trains 1Z32 05:48 Birmingham Snow Hill to Paddington 'Golden Hind' railtour. 37240 is bringing up the rear. From London the train would become the 1Z33 09:55 Paddington to Plymouth. This location is one of the very few in the Oxford area where the sun would be on the front at 07:42, but unfortunately lineside bushes now restrict this to a very head on view. Even so, I was surprised to be the only photographer present on this occasion.
