The 6J02 08:52 Newbury Racecourse Civil Engineer's Sidings to Newbury Racecourse Civil Engineer's Sidings (via Swindon) approaches Uffington footbridge on 25 June 2026. Colas Rail Plasser & Theurer 08-4x4/4S-RT Switch & Crossing Tamper DR73936 had actually left Newbury over two hours late. It was delayed even further at Reading, but to make up time it missed out the Reading to Langley section of the route. It was still over two hours late when it passed Didcot, but by the time I photographed it after its reversal at Swindon, it was half an hour early!
