Howden Station Building 20 October 2026

Howden station is situated over a mile from the town of Howden, on the Selby to Hull line. The station was opened in 1840, but in 1885 Howden acquired another station, which was much nearer the town, when the Hull & Barnsley Railway opened their station on the northern edge of the town. That station unfortunately closed in 1955. The original Hull & Selby Railway's station building still survives, but now in private ownershioip. It is pictured on 20 October 2026.
