To mark the imminent end of CrossCountry HST workings, 43207 was repainted into its original 1970s livery, and given its old 43007 number. It is pictured here passing Fiddington with its first train in this new (old) guise, as it heads north on 16 August 2023 with the 1E63 15:27 Plymouth to Leeds service. The most obvious difference between this and the original HST colour scheme is the black around the updated front lights.
