47257 passes Oxford on 24 April 1984 with the 4M79 16:18 Southampton Maritime to Lawley Street freightliner. This location, next to Castle Mill Stream, near Walton Well Road, gave a good view of trains heading north from Oxford in the evening, but unfortunately not only is this view no longer possible, but because of tree growth and a new signal gantry, there is now no view from the nearby road bridge either.
