Viewed from the end of Kingham's down platform, 47455 approaches the station on 17 April 1982 with the 1A51 16:03 Worcester Shrub Hill to Paddington service. This was shortly before most of the loco hauled trains on the Cotswold Line were replaced by DMUs. This loco entered service at Gateshead in April 1964 as D1575. It received the TOPS number 47455 in February 1974, and carried that number right up to withdrawal in 1990. It was scrapped five years later.
